TODDLER ART
Evie loves fish. Loves them. Finding Nemo is her favourite film by far. So I decided a piece of fish themed artwork was in order.
As I like to make the experience as fun and interesting as possible, I decided that a mix of materials was the way to go. And what better to use as fish than some of the great leaves that are around at the moment.
First we went on a quest to find the perfect fish leaves. Not too big or too wide. Dry enough was a bit more of a challenge given how wet it's been recently! Luckily we found just the right ones on and under the "tree house" (a fab tree near us that the path goes right under, like being in a house).
Fish leaves clutched in our hands, we came back home to create our masterpiece.
I picked up a roll of coloured sugar paper in Wilkinsons recently, so a sheet of the blue was our fish tank with some green seaweed.
We decorated the fish with stickers. Coloured dots and shiny stars. You can get big packs of these from anywhere in the stationery section. I think my dots came from Wilkos and the stars from Sainsburys. We used glue sticks to stick the fish onto their tank and added a few blue dots as bubbles.
And voila!
